What happened
In 2026, we transacted with Vactron. The quality of the item was not up to standard, and several issues were not disclosed to us. Fixing these cost us around $15,000 on top of the original price, close to double what we were originally told. That was only because we completed some of the remaining work ourselves. Had we brought someone else in to fix the issues, the extra cost could have been closer to $18,000 to $20,000 on top of the original price. We hold the invoice, texts and emails relating to the transaction.
We’re not the only ones
Several reviews on Vactron’s Google listings describe similar experiences with pricing and billing. We’d encourage anyone considering Vactron (vactron.com.au) to read those reviews in full.
Before you consider hiring Vactron
- Get the quote in writing, with the total price, before work starts
- Confirm what happens if the job runs longer than quoted
- Ask for the final amount to be agreed before any payment is taken
- Check recent Google reviews, not just the overall star rating
